Animal Friends of the Valleys is bringing costumed dogs and Halloween fun back to Promenade Temecula on Saturday, Oct. 24, for its annual Spooktacular Paws on the Promenade.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the outdoor area near Edwards Cinema at 40820 Winchester Road. Parking is free.
A pet parade is open to all and requires no registration. Owners who want to compete can enter the costume contest for $20, with judges awarding prizes in three categories: Funniest, Spookiest and Most Original. All contest and raffle proceeds benefit AFV's shelter animals.
Attendees can also trick-or-treat at vendor booths, browse local vendors and enjoy live music and giveaways.
Pets must be leashed and friendly with people and other animals. Businesses interested in hosting a booth or sponsoring the event can find details at pawsonthepromenade.com.
