Valley Young Professionals will bring bags and boards to Promenade Temecula on Friday, Oct. 2, for the group's 14th annual cornhole tournament.

Check-in starts at 4 p.m. near the fountain at 40820 Winchester Road. Play begins at 5 p.m.

Now in its 14th year, the tournament is organized by the young-professionals program under the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 2008, Valley Young Professionals targets emerging leaders ages 21 to 40, though the chamber noted in a 2024 press release that anyone is welcome at events.

Teams of two compete in a format that guarantees three games: two round-robin matchups followed by single-elimination playoff rounds, according to the chamber's 2026 event listing. Food, beverages and prizes will be available.

Noon & Associates CPAs returns as the tournament's Great Cornholio Sponsor. The Temecula-based accounting firm has backed the event for multiple years, including the 11th annual tournament in 2023.

The chamber announced the event on X on Sept. 11. RSVPs are available through the chamber's website.

Ticket pricing for 2026 has not been posted publicly. At the 2023 tournament, team registration cost $100 for VYP members and $200 for non-members per two-player team, according to a chamber press release from that year. Proceeds from the tournament supported VYP's community outreach programs, according to the same 2023 press release.

The tournament previously took place at Temecula Town Square Park. The move to Promenade Temecula is new for 2026, though organizers have not publicly explained the venue change.

As of 2024, VYP had grown to 87 members. Past participants have gone on to become business owners and city commissioners, according to the chamber.
