Temecula wine country visitors looking for Thanksgiving plans can choose between two holiday meals and a tree lighting at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa later this month.
The resort plans a brunch buffet and a four-course dinner on Thursday, Nov. 26, followed by its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 28, according to Visit Temecula Valley.
The brunch buffet runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 26 and features traditional holiday dishes and carving stations. It costs $95 per person, excluding service fee and gratuity. A separate Temecula Valley Wine Region listing for the same buffet lists a children's price of $45 for ages 12 and under.
A four-course prix fixe dinner at The Vineyard Rose Restaurant runs from 2 to 8 p.m. Nov. 26 at $92 per person, or $120 with wine pairings, excluding gratuity. Entrée choices include roasted turkey, braised short rib, salmon and a wild mushroom Wellington.
On Saturday, Nov. 28, the resort holds its annual Tree Lighting Celebration from 4 to 8 p.m. The evening features visits with Santa, live music by Perry O'Neal, seasonal crafts and complimentary hot chocolate, ending with the lighting of the resort's Christmas tree. Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for a Toys for Tots donation drive.
