Linfield Christian senior Lilla Petrykowski has been named the school's November Student of the Month, earning recognition for her athletics, academics and campus leadership over six years at the Temecula campus.

Petrykowski will be honored by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, city officials and local sponsors at a special breakfast, according to the school's announcement. A specific date for the breakfast has not been announced.

The Chamber's Student of the Month program has recognized academic excellence since the 1992–1993 school year, according to My Valley News. The program's Sept. 3 breakfast was held at the Murrieta Sizzler, where Holly Wilson, Linfield Christian's director of admissions, served as emcee. That event drew principals, teachers, peers, family members and community and school district dignitaries.

Petrykowski is a four-year varsity athlete on the Lions' cross country and track and field teams and serves as captain in both sports. Her MileSplit profile lists 84 career results, with personal records that include a 5K time of 19:12.83 set Oct. 14, 2025, and a 3200-meter mark of 12:41.18 from May 16, 2026.

Off the course and track, she serves as vice president of Student Ambassadors, belongs to four honor societies and leads the Active Faith Bible study on campus. She also works at Orangetheory Fitness and volunteers as a children's ministry teacher at North Coast Church.

The school described Petrykowski as "a remarkable student who has excelled in the midst of a rigorous academic course load" and called her "a particularly insightful writer."

Petrykowski said the school's community stands out to her.

"What I love most about Linfield is how much everyone genuinely cares about one another and displays the love of Jesus through their actions," she said. "Especially among my senior class, I have witnessed how we continuously support each other at our sporting events, musicals, and so much more … I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and support I have been given."
