A garage fire spread to a Temecula home and nearby vegetation Sunday morning.
The Riverside County Fire Department reported the blaze at approximately 11:08 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in the 36000 block of Indian Knoll Road, according to the department's post on X.
Firefighters arrived to find a well-involved garage fire with extension into the residence and surrounding brush.
The vegetation fire was contained to a 100-foot-by-100-foot area, the department said.
No injuries were reported.
Crews expected to remain on scene for two to three hours for salvage, overhaul and mop-up, the department said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The fire broke out as an excessive heat warning blanketed Southern California, including Temecula, where temperatures were expected to reach triple digits Sunday, ABC News reported citing the National Weather Service.
