TVHS football honors seniors Thursday before Roosevelt finale

Temecula Valley's graduating football players will take one final walk across their home field Thursday, Oct. 29, when the Golden Bears host Roosevelt in the regular-season finale.

The TVHS football program announced on X that it will hold a Senior Night ceremony before the 7 p.m. kickoff, honoring seniors alongside their families. After the game, the seniors will make a "100-yard walk" across the field.

"One last walk … a life time of brotherhood," the team account wrote in a post signed by Coach Nichols.

The ceremony adds a milestone moment to an already significant game. The 8-1 Golden Bears have clinched a CIF Southern Section playoff berth, according to the San Bernardino Sun. A win Thursday would send the seniors off with a nine-win regular season heading into the postseason.

Temecula Valley sits second in the Big West-South at 3-1 in league play, according to MaxPreps. The Golden Bears went 5-0 in non-league play before opening conference action. Their lone loss came Oct. 16 against crosstown rival Great Oak, 33-10. They bounced back with a 41-27 road win at Corona on Oct. 23.

Roosevelt enters at 4-5 overall and 2-2 in league play. The Mustangs have not won an away game, going 0-4 on the road. Quarterback Charlie Bohmer leads Roosevelt with 198.4 passing yards per game, according to MaxPreps game data.

On the Temecula Valley side, running back Deven Krause leads the offense with 91.3 rushing yards per game. Linebacker Keaton Cadrez anchors the defense at 8.4 tackles per game. Quarterback Caden Chrisman has averaged 119.0 total yards per game, and kicker Colin Elia has contributed 4.6 points per game.

The San Bernardino Sun reported that the final week of the regular season will determine several remaining playoff spots across the Inland area. The CIF Southern Section is set to release playoff brackets Sunday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m.

Kickoff Thursday is 7 p.m. at Temecula Valley. The Senior Night ceremony will take place before the game, though an exact start time has not been announced. Tickets are available through GoFan.
