Temecula residents can drop off old computers, TVs, phones and other electronics for free recycling at the Promenade Temecula on Saturday, Nov. 14, and Sunday, Nov. 15.
The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce organizes the quarterly collection, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days in the parking lot outside JCPenney at 40820 Winchester Road. Attan Recycling, a company that specializes in electronic waste disposal, handles the collection, according to the chamber's event page.
Most common electronics can be dropped off at no cost. The list of free items includes computer monitors, televisions, PC systems, printers, laptops, copiers, scanners, fax machines, toner cartridges, cell phones, home entertainment systems, VCR and DVD players, networking equipment and small portable devices.
Not everything is free, though.
Larger appliances carry fees. Microwaves, cooling units, water dispensers, air conditioners and wine coolers cost $10. Water heaters, freezers and exercise equipment such as treadmills and stationary bikes cost $20. Washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves and standard two- to three-door refrigerators cost $30, according to the chamber.
Batteries are not accepted at the event.
The chamber, led by president and CEO Brooke Nunn, holds the e-waste collection four times a year at the same Promenade Temecula location. The Promenade Temecula event listing shows scheduled 2026 dates in February, May, August and November.
No appointment is needed. Residents can drive up to the JCPenney parking lot during event hours either day.
