A stove fire in a third-floor apartment displaced three Temecula residents and damaged 14 units in the 27200 block of Nicolas Road on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Fire crews arrived at the three-story building around 9:13 p.m., according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, as first reported by Patch. The fire was contained to a stove in one unit, the department said.
Three units sustained major damage. Fourteen units were affected by water damage from firefighting efforts, fire officials said.
One man and two women were displaced. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist them, according to the department.
Two residents were evaluated at the scene but refused further medical treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
